Once you've chosen it, cut it yourself and bring it back to our team. We'll shake, bale and drill your tree at no additional charge so it's ready for the trip home to Altoona.

Tag Your Tree Weekend | October 31 & November 1, 2026
Visit the farm before our regular Christmas season begins, find your family's tree and tag it to reserve it for Christmas.
It's especially helpful if you're looking for a larger tree, want a particular variety or simply love the idea of making choosing your tree a two-part Christmas tradition.
Tags are $25 and include a $20 farm credit to use during the 2026 Christmas season toward your tree, wreaths, gifts or anything else available at the farm.

No reservation is needed during our regular posted hours. Weekday visits after December 6 are by appointment.

Tuckaway is primarily a choose-and-cut Christmas tree farm. We occasionally have a small number of pre-cut trees available, but we recommend visiting with the expectation of choosing and cutting your own tree.

Yes. If cutting your own tree is difficult, we're happy to help when staffing allows. A weekday appointment is the best option if you know you'll need assistance, and we're often able to help more later in the season when the farm is less busy.
